A Return to UFC for George St. Pierre in UFC 111

Ultimate Fighting Championship to host its UFC 111 in New Jersey at the Prudential Center on March 27, 2010.

The main event will be pay per view and will likely include George St. Pierre vs. Dan Hardy, Jon Finch vs. Thiago Alves, Frank Mir vs. Shane Carwin, with a few more yet to be named. With two, count em two titles on the line is there any wonder there is a lot of buzz on this MMA fight.

George St. Pierre, one of the best welterweight fighters of the sport, looks to retain his dominance on the mat and his reign. Another contender in the heavyweight category is Frank Mir; he is looking to become the second man in UFC MMA history to achieve a world title three different times.

Dana White, the UFC president, has talked up the fights and boasts of the incredible potential of these matchups. Regarded as the best pound for pound fighter in the world, George St. Pierre has been completely dominant as of late. With that said you still can’t disregard his opponent. Dan Hardy has the ability to upset the fight with his incredible power and MMA confidence.

Another bout matches Frank Mir, who has an incredible submission game, has an opponent that is undefeated and specializes in his wrestling moves, Shane Carwin.

For any die hard MMA fans out there both fights ought to have a lot of action making UFC 111 a must-see event.

UFC 110 in Sydney Australia: Betting Preview

MMA will be an International Affair as UFC 110 takes place down under in Sydney, Australia on February 21, 2010.

The main events at UFC 110 is headlined by bout between Antonio Nogueria of Brazil will take on the up-and-coming Cain Velasquez in this heavyweight MMA matchup.

The second “main event” of the evening has the UK powerhouse Michael Bisping against another Brazilian, Wanderlei Silva.

Also on the card are Stephan Bonnar, Keith Jardine, and Marko CroCrop.

Nogureria has the edge over Velasquez at most of the sportsbooks. If you place experience as the deciding factor then you have to give the nod to Nogureria.

Continuing on with the odds, most books are giving up a 4 to 1 advantage to Silva in the Bisping-Silva fight. In the CroCrop-Rothwell match, the powerful Russian is dominating the wily veteran in the books. All in all it should be a great night of fights with major upsets a big possibility.
