The date for UFC 112 has been set for April 10, 2010. The United Arab Emirates’ Abu Dahbi further improves their International standing by hosting the card dubbed ‘Invincible’. This event being staged for an outdoor arena is another first for the UFC.
While this may change, at the time of this writing the main event is set for the UFC Middleweight title that pits the champion Anderson Silva against Demian Maia. Originally Silva was set to fight Vitor Belfort but a training injury forced Belfort to bow out of UFC 112.
The other match ups for this MMA event are as follows: Lightweight Champion B.J. Penn defends his title against Frankie Edgar, Matt Hughes returns to the octagon and battles Renzo Gracie in the middleweight division, Mark Munoz takes on Kendall Grove in the middleweight division, and Raphael Dos Anjos takes on Terry Etim in a lightweight bout.
UFC regulars Phil Davis, John Gunderson, Paul Taylor, among others are featured in a huge preliminary card. The Ultimate Fighting Championship looks to add another chapter to their awesome history in UFC 112.
